The NOC Jets Women's Team won their first ever game Sunday night with a 4-0 win over Redlands at the Advance Soccer Complex.

NOC Enid's first ever goal was scored by freshman Olivia Perrin at the 2:21 mark assisted by Luana San Miguel.

San Miguel then scored at the 27:28 mark assisted by Megan Sharp.

After half, the Jets scored on two penalty kicks by Perrin, a freshman from Northhampton, England, and Celeste Maldonado.

The Jets had 13 shots on goal against the Cougar women.

Vanessa Markyl earned the clean sheet in goal for the Jets.

"Our team effort was great," said coach Cesar Zepeda.  "We really came together as one.  We still have plenty of room to improve and though we are enjoying the win, we have plenty of work to do."

"The best thing we did tonight was to put pressure on Redlands and we executed the game plan very well."

Zepeda admits to being nervous in his first college game as the Jets coach.

"I had some butterflies but anything I was more excited and determined to lead the team as best I could."

The Jets (1-0) are at Eastern Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Wilburton.
