Jets walk-off earns split with NOC Tonkawa

Blake Scott's ninth inning sacrifice fly scored Ben Lawson walking off a 6-5 Jet win over NOC Tonkawa Sunday at David Allen Memorial Ballpark.

NOC Enid (17-22) improved to 8-8 in conference while NOC Tonkawa (23-20) fell to 6-14 in league play.

In the second game, the Jets let a 5-3 lead slip away as the Mavs scored two in the ninth to tie the game at 5-5.

The Jets rebounded as Lawson tripled to lead off the ninth, Calyn Halvorson and Tanner Holliman then walked to load the bases.  Scott then flied to center walking off the 6-5 win.

Josh Hendricks had two hits for the Jets Sammy Harris, Scott, and Turner Pruitt one rbi each.

Scott's rbi made a winner of  Maddux Mayberry who earned the win in relief.  Zach Roden was the starter with bullpen help from Jakob Brandenberger.

In Game 1, the Jets let a 2-0 slip away as NOC Tonkawa scored 10 runs in the sixth to earn a 12-5 Game 1 win.

Tanner Holliman had three hits including a double and home run for the Jets.  Holliman had three rbi's while Shea Morrison's two doubles netted one rbi.  Josh Hendricks also had an rbi for the Jets.

Thomas Kuykendall cruised through the first five innnings but struggled in the sixth.  Brayden Bock, Dylon Mallett, and Lane Behymer also pitched in relief.

NOC won three of the four games with the Mavs.

The Jets host Hesston (KS) Tuesday at 1 p.m. on campus at Failing Field.
