Jet sophomore right hander Piercen Mcelyea tossed a one hitter over seven innings as the Jets run ruled East Central Missouri 9-1 Thursday in the first round of the NJCAA Plains District Tournament in Enid.
The Jets broke open a 1-1 game with seven runs in the sixth and cruised to the 9-1 win.
NOC trailed 1-0 but tied the score in the fourth when Sammy Harris doubled scoring Blake Scott.
The Jets then erupted for seven runs in the sixth on four hits sending 10 men to the plate.
A Ben Lawson home run and Shea Morrison triple led the Jet uprising.
Mcelyea struck out seven allowed one unearned run on one hit.
Ty Chapman added two hits for NOC Enid.
NOC Enid (27-30) faces the Carl Albert-Western winner Friday at 4 p.m.
