Jets fall to Murray State in Plains District Championship game

The NOC Enid Jets fell one win short of reaching the NJCAA Division 2 World Series falling to Murray State 4-1 on Monday in Enid.

NOC Enid completed its season at 29-32 and were 3-2 in the Plains District Tournament.

The Jets trailed the Aggies 4-0 before the Jets scored their lone run in the 9th.

Jack Roubik opened the inning with a single and Willie Fleece, running for Roubik, scored on a Ty Chapman ground out.

NOC Enid threatened in the 8th but the Jets left the bases loaded.

Piercen Mcelyea worked the first 6 innings for the Jets allowing three runs on six hits striking out four.

Zach Roden and Gunner Phillips worked the final two innings for the Jets.

NOC Enid had four hits against the Aggies all singles by Roubik, Sammy Harris, Shea Morrison, and Josh Hendricks.
