NE Nebraska spoils Jets' opener

Northeast Nebraska spoiled the Jets season opener Saturday beating the Jets 8-3 and 17-16.

Game 2 was a wild one as the Jets rallied from 15-1 down in the fifth inning only to lose 17-16.

The Jets scored 10 runs in the fifth, added three runs in the sixth and one in the seventh to send the game to extra innings at 15-15.

Northeast then scored two runs in the eighth, the Jets rallied for one run in the bottom half but lost 17-16.

Sammy Harris, Owen Tracy, and Jase White had three hits each, Tracy added a home run for the Jets.  White added three runs batted in for NOC Enid.

Harris had three doubles while Tracy, White, and Holden Yoder had one double each.

Jack Cline was the starter for NOC Enid while Maddux Mayberry, Kyle Roberts, and Jakob Brandenberger pitched in relief.

In Game 1, Northeast scored in every inning to beat the Jets 8-3.

NOC Enid had four hits including a solo home run by Nathan GutierrezBrayden Bock doubled and while Ty Chapman and Mason Poppen singled for the Jets.  Bock and Solomon James had rbi's for NOC Enid.

Zach Roden started for the Jets with relief help from Josh Rains and Gunner Phillips.
