Jets sweep Northeast Nebraska in home opener

The NOC Enid Jets ran their season opening winning streak to six Friday with a 7-3 and 14-4 sweep of Northeast Nebraska at David Allen Memorial Ballpark.

In Game 1, Owen Tracy homered and drove in three runs in a 7-3 win.

Jhett Creel added two runs batted in for the Jets.

Cooper Smith earned the win for NOC Enid working four innings allowing three runs on five hits while striking out two.

Jesse Slimp worked the final three innings allowing no hits while striking out three and walking two.

The Jets trailed 2-1 before scoring two runs in the third and three in the fourth to take control over the Hawks.

In Game 2, the Jets were led by Jesse Ponce with four hits and three rbi's while Tracy added another two hits and four runs batted in.

Creel also added two hits and three runs batted in.

After two scoreless innings, the Jets exploded for 14 runs in the final three innings.

Daniel Schlehuber worked the first three innings allowing one run while Corbin Kwan worked the final two innings for the Jets.

The Jets face Northeast in a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m.
