Wetwiska's walk-off leads Jets to 9-8 win

NOC Enid split a pair of games with East Central College (MO) on Sunday, the Jets won the first game 9-8 and dropped the night cap 8-5.

In Game 1, Cale Wetwiska's 8th inning single scored Miles Lock with the game winner in a 9-8 Jets win over East Central College.

NOC Enid tied the score at 8-8 in the 8th when Jhett Creel scored Brandon Pierre.  Miles Lock then ran for Creel, later scoring on Wetwiska's walk off hit.

Creel had four hits for the Jets including three doubles and three runs batted in.  Wetwiska had three hits and three runs batted in as well.

The Jets played catch-up in Game 1 as East Central jumped to  a 4-0 early lead.

Julio Heredia earned the win from the bullpen in back of Cooper Smith and Jesse Slimp.  Heredia gave up one run for the Jets.

In Game 2, East Central rallied from a 4-0 deficit to beat the Jets 8-5.

NOC Enid built a 4-0 lead scoring in the first three innings but East Central rallied for seven runs in the fifth.

Cooper Smith had three hits including two doubles while Jesse Ponce and Garrett Ninness had two hits each.

Daniel Schlehuber, Brodie Finlay, and Logan Wade worked on the mound for the Jets.

The Jets East Central on Monday at 11 a.m. and then host Butler on Tuesday at 2 p.m.
