Jets sweep Murray, run streak to 13

NOC Enid dominated Murray State on Saturday with an 8-1 and 14-1 sweep of the Aggies.

The Jets (22-6) remain unbeaten in conference play at 9-0.

In Game 1, Christian Estep and Logan Wade combined to allow one run on four hits and the Jets offense scored eight runs in the 3rd inning in an 8-1 win.

In the 3rd, the Jets used four hits, four walks, and one Murray error to plate the eight runs.

Kade Goeke had a double and three runs batted in during the huge NOC Enid inning.

Jesse Ponce added two hits for the Jets.

Estep allowed three hits and struck out four while Wade worked two scoreless innings.

In Game 2, Cale Wetwiska allowed one unearned run over six innings and Goeke continued his hot hitting with a triple and four runs batted in.

Cooper Smith had three hits including two doubles while Graham Hylton added three hits in a 16 hit attack.  Jhett Creel, Owen Tracy, Jesse Ponce, and Goeke had two hits each.

Ponce added three runs batted in.

Wetwiska fanned five allowing just two hits.

NOC Enid is at Allen (KS) on Sunday.
