The NOC Enid Jets open the 2022-23 season Tuesday night against OnPoint at 7 p.m.

The Jets are under third year head coach Chris Gerber.

NOC Enid opens the season in a flurry with seven games in 12 days.

"It's a challenging schedule early," Gerber said.  "We'll figure out where we're at in a big hurry.  It gives us a chance to play some guys and figure out who's going to buy in and help us be a good basketball team."

Gerber is excited about this year's team, calling them "selfless" in the fall off-season.

"This group has been very selfless," Gerber said.  "That is so unusual for Juco especially first year guys.  They come and in and try to make some noise offensively and they figure out pretty quickly that playing good defense is going to earn them playing time.  I like the mesh we have between freshman and sophomores.  I think we'll have some depth and there will be competition for playing time and that's a good thing."

NOC Enid opens the conference season Thursday, Nov. 17 against Redlands at 7:30 p.m.

The Jets have reached the NJCAA Region 2 Tournament finals the past two seasons, losing to NOC Tonkawa and Connors State.

Sophomores:  Jordan Thompson, Jaylon Jackson-Curvey, Chris Wiseman, Ryan Kelly, Daylon Andrews, Raul Nunez, Caleb Wilson.

Freshmen:  Christian Austin, PJ Twa, CJ Wilson, Nolan Gore, Cahlese Lee, Keivon Hudson, Jayce Daniels, Cale Swaim, Marcell Perry.
