The NOC Enid Lady Jets open the 2022-23 season Tuesday night against Oklahoma Wesleyan JV at 5 p.m.

NOC Enid is under the tutelage of third year head coach Kelli Jennings.

Jennings is excited for the new season.

"It's always fun to start the season," she said.  "We won't ever see where we are at by scrimmages, we need to play games to find out where we are at and then go forward.  We are just seeing the tip of the iceberg on how good we can be.  We'll get better as the year goes along."

Jennings really likes the make-up of this team.

"We have so many high character kids," she said.  "They have great work ethic, they are extremely coachable, and are very unselfish.  It's a great group of kids that will put in the work to be a good team."

NOC Enid has seven sophomores, that is exciting for Jennings.

"That experience is so valuable," she said.  "They understand what we are doing both offensively and defensively and they also understand the expectations of this program so it's a huge thing for us to have that many returnees.  We also have a good freshman class that will help this team.  They have a chance to be a good group as well."

Sophomores:  Jade Hazelbaker, LaKysia Johnson, Tegan Jones, Aubrey Taylor, Libbi Zinn, Jaycee Porter, Elizabeth Simpson.

Freshmen:  Kiara Franklin, Makenna Penrod, Corky Hall, Ashlan Light, Brooklyn Bayless, Rachel Fischer, Braylee Dale.
